Troop 500 schedules fun outdoor activities every month, giving Scouts a wide range of opportunities. Our adventures include:
Backpacking
Camping
Hiking
Canoeing and kayaking
Whitewater rafting
Cycling
Climbing
Skiing
Service projects
And many other outdoor experiences
Every summer, our Scouts spend a week at a Scouting America summer camp, where they strengthen outdoor skills, earn merit badges, and enjoy one of the highlights of the Scouting year.
For older Scouts, our annual High Adventure program provides unforgettable experiences at some of Scouting's premier destinations. Troop 500 has explored Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico, Sea Base in Florida, Northern Tier in Minnesota, and Kandersteg International Scout Centre in Switzerland. These expeditions are planned by our youth leaders, giving Scouts the opportunity to shape their own adventures.
